Odessa is an important port city and this is a reminder that sailors leave family behind and might not return. The statue is not very large but it is well formed.

Me as a sailor, this monument makes me sad. Reminds me my working background seperated from family. Sailors and their family will understand about it as well.

Sailor`s Wife Monument is very nice so be prepare to take pictures of it. The statue is located next to Hotel Odessa.

The monument is right next to the now defunct "Hotel Odessa" and is at the end of the passenger port pier across the street from The Potemkin Steps. It's a nice monument of a woman with her child waiting for the return of her sailor...More
