While this series of small museums has some interesting exhibits (e.g. the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and Modern Glass), I was more impressed with the setting on the grounds of this former Dominican monastery - beautiful gardens, ruins and views of the volcano.
You have to see all the museums inside Hotel Casa Santo Domingo, especially the Glass Museum where original mayan pieces are matched to modern glass sculptures made by the very best manufacturers. This is a must, you can't miss it!
Large old monastery with many different exhibition areas, excelennt atmosphere. Especially interesting is the part, where old mayan artifacts are compared to contemporary art pieces.
