This monumental arch was built as a passageway between the monastery and adjoining school. The buildings were constructed to accommodate an increase in religious followers during the 17th century.

If the weather is good the arch can be used to frame an iconic view of the volcanoes in both directions.

Not much to say about it, but the activity surrounding the area is worth to look at. Stores, restaurants and specially this month, they had an exhibit of chariots, probably related to the upcoming easter. No need to spend a lot of time, take a...More

Very pretty, on one of the main streets. Hard to review this, it is an arch over the street - nothing else.

There’s not much to say except a visit to Antigua isn’t complete without a visit to the iconic arch. It’s beautiful anytime of day but especially at sunset.

The walking tour of Antigua with Elizabeth Bell tours is an excellent way to see the town. Our tour guide was very well versed in the history of the city.

This is one of if not the most beautiful site in down town. On Sundays the area is filled locals, some just in town for the excitement, but many selling local handicrafts. The locals costumes are delightful, bright and colorful. The children are beautiful, and...More

Located about 1.5 hrs from Guatemala City this is a must see city with beautiful architecture. Antigua means old and it’s very apparent while there. This is a very touristic area and often said you haven’t been to Guatemala until you visit this lovely city...More
