heard lots about the volcano trek organised by Tropicana hostel and it did not dissappoint. We were able to rent warm clothes for the evening which I would definitely recommend. Organised very well be Tropicana and also by the tour guides.

Really incredible hike, it's quite tough but the guides are amazing at helping you out and they provide you with all the camping equipment, meals and you can hire warm clothes. The view is unlike anything else, definitely the highlight of Guatemala!!!!!

The tour is hard, but so worth it! I did it with the Tropicana Hostel. They have their own campsite on the mountain with the best view on the erupting Fuego Volcano. The three guides we had were amazing! They were very patient with the...More

The trek was quite tough, thus good shape is helpful. Even though the tour with Tropicana is a little bit more expensive than the other ones - it is totally worth it as your staying at another campsite where no other persons are going to....More

It isn't easy going up- it feels like your are walking up sand but the views are worth it. Went with Gilmer Soy and his crew was extremely helpful and accommodating.

If you impress the guide on the trek to Base Camp they might allow you to do the extra climb to the Fuego Ridge for sunset. Several declined since it means you have to climb down, up, down, up again before you get to sleep...More

Hej. That can be actually true what you are writing. I had paid attention to the same fact. A lot of reviews from new members. Tripadvisor should have more control of things like that.
