We stayed on the trails mostly in the woods and avoided any soft sand. This made for a great hike (and it was much cooler in the woods). Get a membership to the Trustees and don't pay for parking!

This area costs $5 to enter and I think it was $5 for the car. While I respect the work the trustees are doing on Martha's Vineyard, this isn't worth the cost unless you plan on spending some time on the beach. I didn't, although...More

Wasque on Chappaquiddick is far removed from the rest of island civilization and it is just beautiful. So peaceful and wild with soaring ospreys, dunes and incredible ocean views. Worth the drive and ferry ride from Edgartown.
