Mitchell's is the perfect spot to pick up that summer reading. It's also known for having great book signings by the authors. These are well advertised so you can get your chance to meet the author in person.

This bookstore was thoughtfully organized and the selections ell chosen. I saw so many titles that interested me from current fiction to history books about the island. The upstairs has a cozy reading area and we were able to choose the books we wanted to take back with us. This bookstore is a must stop even if you are on... More

Great selection and friendly staff. This year I found they sponsor Where's Waldo contest. I think 23 local businesses hide a die cut of Waldo. You get the passport at Mitchell's. The stores will give a hint where he might be hiding. When he's found, the shop stamps or initials their business. If the kids get 20 of 23, they... More

What a find! I live in Boston, where several favorite bookstores have disappeared over the years. It was a real treat to find this well-stocked, cozy two-story haven conveniently located in Nantucket's historic district. Mitchell's Book Corner offers the customer service and invitation to linger and browse that are often missing from big chain bookstores, and the shop is bright,... More

Located right on Main street. They had several authors on site ready to sign your purchased books! I bought several for holiday gifts, plus they had children's books as well. Cute shop.

This is not your Big Box Bookstore, this a corner bookstore from a day gone by. And that is a good thing. From the moment I stepped in from the cobblestones to minute I made my purchase I felt welcome. This store has great customer service (they pride themselves on it) and stacks and stacks of books. Although you might... More
