This is a lovely church to visit, and quite a 'find'. We visited as part of a half-day tour. It was a surprise to find such a lovely church, complete with stained-glass windows, in such a remote place. Our guide was able to provide lots...More

Visited this place on our half day island tour and the guide gave us the background to the churches creation and who built it.

Such a lovely church in a beautiful setting - and with an amazing history. We loved the stained glass windows, and in particular the rose window reminded us of the one in York Cathedral.

Drove past this church on our 1/2 day orientation tour, however we couldn't go in as a service was being held. We came back later in the week and admired the beautiful stained glass windows and wooden rafters and the glorious inlaid mother of pearl...More

Undoubtedlt, the best tourist attractions are those you weren't expecting to uncover, and this was quite a discovery. First visited here with my late mother in 2013, and despite it being for "the opposition" she could not help but marvel at the ornate stained windows...More

On our bus tour of the island we were given a very informative tour of St Barnabas. This included some unique features such as the stained glass male beardless characters and the seating format- pews facing the isle. A beautiful comforting feeling within this church.

A must visit when on Norfolk. Best to go on a guided tour as then all the features are explained. The wooden roof is like an upturned boat hull and no nails or screws used, all carpentry joints.

The best tourist attrcations are those you weren't expecting. This is one of them. The story of how the church came to be had me wanting to write the play right then and there. The building itself is worthy of comparison to any old-world church...More

This was well worth stopping to visit, a beautiful old church with amazing history. There is an old Moreton Bay Fig near the cemetery that is huge. Stained glass Rose window is impressive as well.
