Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lilly Beach is picturesque. The swimming is a little limited (at least when we were there - possibly low time) because of the rocks and coral. Nevertheless it is fabulous beach for a quick dip in the most beautiful surroundings.
Another advantage is that despite the Baby Crab migration, the road to the beach wasn't closed.

Easy beach to get to with no walking required. Spectacular beach which locals advise is safe to swim at. However we were not too sure as it was a rough day with pretty big waves crashing in. Locals advise that the rock walls and the reef absorb most of the powder of the waves, and other tourists tell us they have safely swum there. As we were alone, we decided against it, but we certainly enjoyed the spectacular views

A great beach for a cooling dip in the ocean and great for beginner snorkelling. A boardwalk off to the left leads through nesting areas for the Brown Booby to a lookout with stunning views of the coastline. One of our favourites on this trip.

Fantastic secluded beach with walking trail past blowholes and nesting birds as well as a hidden infinity pool nearby. Stay at Island Time Guest Room for proximity to this beach and guided tour!

A very nice beach for a swim, the reefs hold back the waves leaving a crystal clear area to swim in. Truly one of best beaches I've swum in around the world.

Beautiful miniature beach tiny little finger sized pocket of coral sand. One of the rare beaches on Christmas Island who's regular coastline boasts twenty metre high cliffs of jagged weather worn limestone. These little pocket sized places make you feel the earth is OK

A nice beach with a short walk to a lovely voew point to observe Frigates and Bobbies (sea birds). The sea is rough so not recommended for swimming but very picturesque and a nice beach.

This Beach may be the best family beach in the Island. Though the swimming area may be small, but it is good for a splash. The bar-be-que facility is handy for family outing. The circular boardwalk that leads to Ethel Beach is very nice, especially in a windy day.
This is also the easier access beach in the Island.

An ideal place to wind away a few hours, if not to venture out on the boardway and have a circular walk to Greta Beach which is slightly further along the road from Lily Beach. Or enjoy a BBQ breakfast to watch the sunrise or sunset, or enjoy the afternoon sun by the beach when the tide is out.

For me, Lily Beach is the best beach on Christmas Island.

It’s easily accessible, parking is right next to the beach (although limited), the beach is sheltered on both sides and the surf isn’t too rough.

The beach is full of pebbles, not really sand so take good footwear. There’s a boardwalk on the left of the car park that takes you to a viewing platform and is well worth the short walk.
