Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As an inexperienced diver I was nervous. David put my mind at ease. Everything was explained and the equipment very easy to operate.
We had a fantastic time and I would happily have stayed in the water all day.
The photos and videos were fantastic and I would highly recommend David and Freedive to everyone.

Had a fantastic time around Flying Fish Cove with David’s tour. Scooter was easy to use with great instruction. A good way to see the drop off without much energy.

Great course and instructor. David is friendly and relaxed which makes learning easy. The course gives you the freediving and safety skills that give you the confidence to realise your potential.

So as a scuba diver who loves to snorkel on my dive trips, I had always wanted to try this. Stumbled on Freedive Christmas Island somehow...hard to do, given the lack of online presence at that time. Anyway, after several emails, we set up to do a morning beginner course.
David is very serious about safety and education, course started with video in office, then some breathing exercises. Then provided some equipment and down to Flying Fish cove...I didnt realise that the port/commercial jetty was the easiest place to actually swim on the island, with some great coral and fish life. I think whether you are able to do the course or not will depend on the weather at the time. I learnt so much and took it with me onto Cocos Island where I did snorkelling at Direction Island. Even though pretty unfit at the time, got to the bottom of the described-10m rope (although my dive watch only said 8.9m :( )
David is an excellent teacher, we had a fantastic experience (even if my friend did get a little seasick in the swell!) and can highly recommend. Plus unbeknownst to me, David took some great shots which now feature as my social media photo!
If you love the water, can clear your ears pretty easily and can afford, give this a go!
Happy to answer any questions...I know its hard when a company only has one review. I had to pester him to create a Trip Advisor account so people know he is out there!
