Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very worth the visit! Not overly long but so very informative and awesome to see so many of these amazing birds up close. Some will be sitting on the fence waiting, others will sit on the roof above you so you can get lots great pics too! Lots of other info also about other wildlife on the island, just ask! Just a gold coin donation to help with food costs but worth more. Thoroughly recommend!

Bird feeding doesn't sound that exciting, but the guide there (Lisa?) did a great job of informing us to the activities of the park center as well as lots of information on the birds.

these birds are not in captivity, but are there to recover from injuries and are free to leave as soon as they are well enough to return home. Great explanation and care of the birds.

Well worth a visit. Young gentleman was very informative. There were several birds the day we visited and they are very close when they land on the fence to be fed.

It’s easy to spot the birds anywhere in Christmas Island but the bird feeding event is an easy way to see them from very close and have a better sense of the massive size of the Abbott boobies and the frigates.
Also, you learn how to recognise the different species, distinguish the males from the females, the adults from the juveniles etc, so you feel like you’re David Attenborough.
It’s a free, quick, easy event, so why not.

A not to be missed experience. Up close to some of the local birds that have been rescued. Reared with minimal people exposure so that they return to the wild, therefore only 2 sessions a week when I was there
