The entire Avery Island experience is something that every nature lover, food lover, conservationist, history buff and Tabasco fanatic (like me!) should take the time to experience. Romantic for couples, perfect for families with children of all ages and appropriate for every level of physical...More

The Tabasco tour was interesting. They gave our group of 5 a miltary discount because we had a veteran among us. The veteran alsio received a free tshirt. The admission was very reasonable. The adjacent "Jungle Gardens" is a drive through experience. It has some...More

Kind of disappointing. You don’t really get to see the factory at work. There are exhibits of what the factory looked like but no one was working, so we guessed they were just for show and the real factory was off limits to visitors. You...More

Very interesting self-guided tour. The tour takes you through 5 buildings and was very interesting. Although it was 93 degrees outside, it was still worth going. The buildings are air conditioned but you do walk outside to get from one to another. The tour costs...More

The grounds were beautiful...walking part of tour not very exciting. Did enjoy the drive through the gardens where we did see a few alligators. Other than that I was not impressed.

A visit to "Avery Island" is really a visit to the Tabasco factory and/or the Jungle Garden/Bird City site. It's not really an island, but a region of higher land over an old salt mine, all owned/controlled by the founders of Tabasco. Both the beautiful...More

Loved the Tabasco tour and the Jungle drive tour. Beautiful property. Saw an alligator and the bird viewing of the Egrets was amazing.

The tour used to be free and one of the best free tours around. Now it is $40 for two adults and an 11 year old for a self-guided tabasco tour and the jungle gardens. Overpriced for what you get.

So peaceful and content. The whole area has been well placed and is looked after. So much wildlife and places to rest for a moment. Make the time stand still. Must see.

It depends on how extensive your touring is going to be. Do you want to see Jungle Gardens as well or just basic tour of the Tabasco factory? Do you want to linger and browse in the Tabasco store? Generally speaking just for... More
