Overview
More
Afro-Panamanian cuisine is one of the most notorious expressions of rebellion and resilience you will find in Panama. When you take this food tour, not only do you taste amazing food, but you visit iconic places in Panama City where Afro-Panamanians have developed an unsophisticated economic system to make a living by fishing, cooking and selling food. This culinary tour starts in El Mercado de Marisco of La Cinta Costera and after some really nice walks with food in your hands we will grab a cup [or tea] at one of the best “Panamanian coffee” shops in town.

Issac took us for a culinary tour of Afro Panama, as well as, some stops of cultural significance along the way. Issac was a great host. This was a great way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommended!

The Afro-Panamanian food tour was the highlight of my time in Panama City. It was an absolutely excellent experience! From beginning to end (minus a little glitch after booking on the keteka website), everything went off without a hitch. Isaac did a great job communicating...More

This is a fantastic tour with great food. Isaacs’s knowledge of Panamanian history and culture are deep. I would do this again.

The food and attention are wonderful, I so recommend this! The idea of preserving the caribbean cuisine is great, some of the recipes used are over 80 years old, amazing

My wife and I believe the food of a culture; how it is prepared and presented; speaks to the heart of that culture. Our food tour was wonderfully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. We not only enjoyed all of the cuisine but learned about the diaspora...More
