This is a modern and efficient railway, mostly underground. Our only difficulty was finding the nearest station, as streets have very few name signs, and one person misdirected us.

Panama Metro has only ONE line is the bad news, the good news is you buy a Metro Card for $2.00 and put money on it. You can get on any stop on the train line and get off at any stop for 35 cents.

Now you can explore more of this neat city faster. I advise not to go during rush hour but overall impressive. The trains and stations are super clean and tidy and diet cheap, 35 cents a ride even to the airport!!!

When we were there a few weeks ago it was due to open in a couple of weeks!
Building works seldom go to plan, I think it is now due to be opened on 28th January 2019 now.
Happy travels.
Panama has only one line on their Metro system. It does not run as far as the Panama Canal. Like a previous TA contributor stated you will have to use another form of transportation.
