Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Definitely should be included when touring Casco Viejo. Beautiful city square with monument to Simon Bolivar, the hero of independence from Spain. Nearby Palacio Bolivar is of huge historic significance. Plenty of patio dining available here as well.

The plaza is a really beautiful open space that is incredibly well maintained and kept. The cleanliness of the plaza with the statues and backdrop of the church make for a perfect picture!

Full of decent, but expensive snacky type restaurants.
This is a place where Simon Bolivar tried to organise the indpendence movement for the liberation of Central and South America.

Lovely square in Casco Viejo dominated by a monument to the famous Simon Bolivar.
The monument is bordered by historical buildings, restaurants and cafes.

On our visit to Casco Viejo we stopped in the Plaza to take a rest. Great place to stop and rest, have a drink and people watch.

Plaza Bolivar is a small but beautiful square in Casco Viejo. The central monument is naturally to the great liberator Simon Bolivar, surrounded with greenery and trees.
There were two cafes on the side in a shade perfect for a drink to enjoy the beauty. Do not forget to visit the splendid renovated St. Francis Asisi Church dominating the square.

Located in casco viejo, this plaza is nice to walk in and enjoy a good coffee in the morning or a really cold beer in the afternoon in one of the few restaurants that are in the surroundings
