As such we didn't find the Cathedral an extraordinary landmark, but it fits perfectly within the old town and gives you a good feel of the Spanish buildings in old Panama. Inside you'll notice a rather light decorated church (mainly white walls).

It's not grandiose like a Cathedral in Europe might be but it is a nice, sincere Church. There are some nice stained glass windows and very pretty alter. They suggest a donation to go towards the restoration of the church which I think is fine....More

This is one of a number of churches in Casco Viejo. It is worth a peak, but there are two more beautiful ones on the Plaza Bolivar two blocks away.

This was definitely one of our 'need to see's in Old Panama. Honestly, there is not much to do or see inside, but it is just neat piece of architecture right in the middle of the city.

This beautiful colonial church is right dab in the center of Casco Viejo facing the Plaza Catedral. Once you walk through its massive doors you are engulfed in the cool darkness of this old beauty. If you love architecture, this is a must see.

One of my favorite buildings in the old city. The tops of the towers were encrusted with shells, very unique.

Hello, there was some construction going on around there but it didn't affect the cathedral. We went on August so it may be an issue now. Enjoy your trip.
