However they do take you to a little piece of land the monkeys have been trained to come onto your boat and take food out of your hands. It is worth the trip if you don't pay too much.

Riding through the river of the canal in a little boat is cool. We went by a large cargo ship. Our boat pulled into the mangroves and the monkeys came to be fed. We stopped for three different varieties.

This is a great way to get up close and personal with our closest genetic relatives who will gladly board your boat (as long as you offer them a little bit of food!)

We did the tour offered by the Gamboa resort. It was short, interesting and we definitely saw monkeys in their habitat, but the monkeys have basically been trained to come to the boat looking for food. So not like you are trekking through the jungle...More

We went on a boat tour of Lake Gatun which includes very unclose and personal tours of several small islands where groups of monkeys had become isolated on islands newly formed by the construction of the dam that created Gatun Lake. The moment our boat...More

This was a great trip up close and personal. Monkeys came on the boat. Our tour guide was from Missouri and super helpful. Cannot give this a better review. Feed monkeys out of your hand. Fantastic

Traveling by boat tours, it is lucky if you see the monkeys- we had a driver who knew the cove where we were likely to see wild life and we did find three monkeys. A bit of bread tossed to them brought them into full...More

Search for Panama Day Trips on Trip Advisor, and we did the Ocean to Ocean Tour that includes Monkey Island. They have a website and contact info there.
