Birding in the jungle/forest along the Canal is superb! Even in the rainy season, there is lots to see and do. There are many areas where you have easy access -- beware, that there are also quite a few dirt roads, and in the rainy...More

Our driver took us to this place, but what we just did are to look for monkeys hanging on trees, sloths, and a few birds we saw. To me, it’s not worth it, but maybe to others, it is.

This forest is easily accessed by road. Wear sturdy footwear as there are dangerous snakes as well as beautiful birds and other wildlife. Keep an eye peeled for the top of dead trees for Sloths.

The Pipeline Road is a very good trail for hiking. The trail is fairly easy walk, but is long. You can walk form more than 3 hours and it’s safe. There is place for parking.

We were not worried about yellow fever but there are a lot of mosquitoes. Take repellent and long sleeved clothes. Great place to view Hummingbirds.
