There are so many ruins here but sadly there is not enough information explaining them to tourist. Our guide gave us some basic information but there is so much that could be in place to make this site more interesting. The Museum on the site was closed and it had no signs giving opening times and guide avoided answering questions... More

If you like history and visit ruins, it is the place. Some ruins, like the tower are very well conserved. The explanation about the place could be better, I wanted to learn more about the history of the place. The visit area is quite big, very hot during day time.

This should be a fascinating and informative way to learn the history of old Panama. It was very hot the day we visited and we never saw any tram enabling one to get around the ruins. There was a recent find of old bones near the tower. The museum was not open the day we visited and this might have... More

Of moderate interest, with little real visual impact and not a great deal of info provided. Obviously, the site of the original city is important to the history of Panama, but more could be done to heighten visitor interest.

i love history so for me this was a great place to explore. There is walking involved so be prepare to bring a bag with water and snacks. They do have a trolly you can hop on that drops you off right in front of each ruin and it turns around to pick you up for the next one tooor... More

Nice place to visit, if you want to know where it started. Nice walk on a sunny day. Could be more explanations.

The ruins of the first Panama City are not particularly exciting . Very little remains as even a partial structure . The tower does however give great views over the city .

We like history and 'old stones', so the four seniors in our group liked it a lot; but it really is a collection of ruins. There are a goodly number of panels explaining what the buildings were, and we thought the history was interesting. There is a little shuttle train jeep to take you to the far end and you... More
