Designed by world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, the Biomuseo is his only work in Latin America and the tropics. The building was designed to tell the story of how the isthmus of Panama rose from the sea, uniting two continents, separating a vast ocean in two, and changing the planet's biodiversity forever.

Very nice museum on biodiversity, housed in even more beautiful architecture. Museum has interesting insights, very nice immersive video experience, right after your entry. Architecture is stunning.

Biomuseo is a little a gem of a museum focused upon biodiversity. It's staffed by very well trained and enthusiastic young people who are all bilingual in English and Spanish. The exhibits focus upon the unique quality of Panama as a through-point for species migration over the millennia. It's a wonderfully executed museum that you can experience fully in two... More

We had been told was worth a visit but found it was closed on Mondays. However , it is certainly worth a photograph or two, with its striking coloured roof.

This was a must on my list due to the architecture alone. We had a great time at this museum, although we didnt quite have enough time to experience fully. The staff in each exhibit was extremely cheerfully and helpful in explain the exhibits, why they are unique and educational, and offer both Spanish and English explanations (they will ask... More

I visited it when it just opened, about 2 years or so ago. Nice place, adults and kids can enjoy a lot. The building is amazing, designed by Gehry. One can walk through all the place in an hour. Modern and clean. But it is too expensive, $18 it's a lot of money. Even for residents, $10 its not cheap.... More

This museum is a must visit. It is very well thought out and delivers a ton of information in a way that is not overwhelming. Also, the museum is staffed by wonderful young people who are well informed and speak Spanish and English. Don't miss it!

Came here out of curiosity after seeing the shape of the building and its architecture. Inside there is an excellent exhibition of the science of panama's volcanic history, biodiversity and human history. It is being extended to include a number of new exhibits including some exciting-looking aquariums!

Went here in a rainy day with the kids. They had tons of fun and learnt a lot. There are interactive learning areas here. Make sure to watch the 4D movie! Make sure to look at the floor while the movie is playing ... you're in for a surprise! 😜

The Biomuseum designed by Frank Gehry is a must see. We had a great guide, Ivette Rogers, who took extra time and attention to ensure our visit was excellent. The location on the causeway is a perfect fit for this place. The small cafe is ok for a quick drink or bite to eat, but there are better places to... More

It contains some fossils (not many) and some rocks. It would be ok if free. The outside park is free and well worth the trip. Don't pay just look at the outside garden and the free stuff.
