We admired the exterior of the museum as we headed towards the causeway to get to the Fuerte Amador Puerto and as part of our tour of Panama City. You cannot miss this structure since it is so colorful. According to our tour guide, Panamanians are very proud of this museum since Frank Gehry designed the building and the different colors are suppose to represent the diverse population of Panama.

Beautiful museum with detailed and informative exhibits in both English and Spanish. It was incredibly well done but I’d expect no less from the only building in Latin America designed by Frank Gehry. The gardens are also a must!

Absolutely fantastic! The museum was incredible. We took our 4 and 1 year olds and they loved it. It's a little pricy but totally worth it. Be warned that they close fairly early in the afternoon! The aquarium section was awesome. We also loved the room that was all about prehistoric animals. The 360 video was also very cool. Their docents were wonderful! They all appeared to be university students, and were clearly passionate about their topics. They were all friendly and did a great job of approaching us to guide us through their section. There is a nice little cafe on site that has pastries, coffee, smoothies, and juice. The bathrooms were well maintained. The museum is stroller accessible.

The Biomuseo is fantastic. Exhibits in the museum explain the natural history of the formation of the isthmus and the impact of eons of geological change on plants and animals in the region. The explanations are lucid and well illustrated with clever and informative displays. Other exhibits show the human history of the settlement of Panama beginning with the first human arrivals and continuing to the present The building itself is beautiful and surrounding gardens are worth their own visit.

The location of the building and the building itself are impressive. The theme of the museum and the various ways it is presented was really very interesting. The gardens around the museum are very rich; the immense fig tree is, well, immense. We saw so many beautiful birds and heard even more. It is almost difficult not to witness a colibri in action. They even serve good espresso! But what made this 5/5 for us, was the service all staff members provided. In each room we were welcomed by somebody that then gave us a short introduction of the room and explained us how things worked. Never experienced that in any other museum.
