We drove along Via Espana many times trying to find our hotel. There seemed to be interesting action along the street, with a lot of shops, restaurants and bars. A new metro too. Avenida Aquilino de la Guardia joined Via Espana but the left turn into a narrow ally was not marked. We will explore the offerings on Via Espana... More

A lot of things are happening along the road. There are many restaurants, bars, casinos, hotels. This is one of the most important road of panama too so you will drive along the road at least once.

A little bit off of Balboa, but with a few nice sights, and certainly lots of buildings restaurants and bars. It's more of an area of the real city, and not so touristy, you can really get a nice flavor for the city here.

Our apartment was on the corner of Calle Ricardo Arias and Via Espana. It's a very busy thoroughfare but there are many reasons why. Many large hotels are in the area, it's a haven for good restaurants and shops, a post office is located nearby as well as a large REY grocery store and most importantly is the Iglesia del... More

There are lots of hotels, restaurants and grocery shops along the avenue. Our hotel was close by. I recommend this location, it's very convenient and safe. Very close to the metro station and bus. Good public transportation.

Located at the back of the Hilton double tree. It has the metro and stores and few fast food chains. It is a very busy thoroughfare. You can get taxis, bus and the metro. There located the carmen Iglesia standing majestic.

Get on the new metro (opened 3 days ago!) and get off at Via Argentina or Iglesia del Carmen and spend a day exploring the best neighbhorhood of El Cangrejo. Or start there and walk all the way down Via Espana as it turns into Avenida Central, then Peotonal (pedestrians only) and finally follow the railway tracks right into the... More
