When I think of a "Jungle Tour" I envision seeing lots of tropical birds (parrots, Tucans, etc) snakes, and monkeys IN THE WILD! As it turned out we saw no more than 3 monkeys that had obviously been trained to come upon calling them in exchange for peanuts and bananas. The only parrot, snake, and Tucan that we saw were... Captain Carl gives a big value to this very complete, fun and interesting tour on Lake Gatun. The kids had a lot of fun kayaking through the forest and jumping from a small waterfall. Navigating in the middle of the big boats cruising the Panama Canal is an amazing experience and the arrival at Carl's lodge a nice surprise. It... More

Our whole family went on this adventure and it was a real crowd pleaser. The drive to the boat ramp in Gamboa takes about 40 minutes, from there you leave the troubles of the world behind. Captain Carl is a character with jokes as corny as those on the Disneyland Jungle Cruise. He also has wonderful information about the canal,... More

Carl was the best !!! He loves the jungle the animals the flaura and it shows. He engaged with everyone and everything. He is a character, to be sure, but a gentle kind soul. The adventure of feeding monkeys, swimming under a waterfall, and much more is a lifetime memory , I recommend to all. I am a senior traveling... More

While the herds of tourists visit the canal museum, go on a small cable car where you see no animal, or do some plain tour boats, here is one who brings you to a totally remote worlds, where you feel thousands miles away from Panama City. Carl will bring you in a hidden place, surrounded by jungle and animals, beautiful... More

Best tour of the Canal your going to find! Carl is amazing and hularious, very entertaining and full of knowledge. He takes you through Lake Gatun and shows you the wildlife upclose and personal, even interacting with monkeys and other creatures of the jungle. This is so much more then your average tour of Lake Gatun. From kayaking through the... More

10 of us and I would do at again in a heartbeat! Laughed so hard, I couldn't paddle the kayak. Waterfall was amazing. Real outdoors experience, jumping off the boat, swimming, jumping from the waterfall. Carl's a funny guy...loved the monkeys, his collection of animals, commentary. Very, very entertaining. Do it now before he goes Hollywood! We had a blast,... More

Don't miss this tour if you want an up close and personal experience on Lake Gatun. Capt Carl entertained us in the morning on his small tour boat - holds about 15 seeing the monkeys and other wildlife on Lake Gatun. Then it was on to his private floating house for a wonderful native lunch. Afternoon activities were swimming, fishing... More

Went with a group of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids). We had a great time on the panama canal. Got to feed and touch several monkeys. Also saw a couple of crocs. Food was excellent. You can go kayaking after lunch or stay back and relax. Loved it!

Captain Carl made this jungle cruise fun for all. He was very knowledgeable about the huge ships passing by as we made our way through the Lake Gatun part of the Panama Canal. He also was great at finding monkeys and other animals that we could see photograph up close. We were able to kayak through a channel to a... More
