When I book a "monkey island" tour, I kind of expect to spend a decent amount of time with the monkeys! Al was very knowledgeable about birds, but we got more valuable information by listening to the guide in the next boat over about the monkeys. Would've been nice to know that the monkeys would eat out of our hands... More

We visited the canal museum, then boarded a boat on Gatun lake for a day on the water feeding monkeys, lunch on a house boat and ended with a nature hike.

We were a group of 20 people who only had a short time during a biz trip to see a little of Panama. Barefoot was easy to do business with, gave us great service - the guide was good and the bus comfortable. We saw the canal, old city and had a nice seafood lunch! I would definitely recommend this... More

We did 3 tours - the city tour, historic tour and the partial transit, last week. All the guides were very knowledgible, and friendly. Everything was exactly as described on the website. We were warned to take a taxi to Amadour where you pick up the partial transit tour- because the outside vendor is inconsistent about picking up passengers. This... More

A great tour. Our guide Allan was very knowledgeable with insight into many of the Panamanian culture psyches and kept us moving along. Alan seemed to be a fairly committed environmentalist and so a number of his comments about areas of the city, the country and the people reflected those aspects which for me of the same mind, were excellent.... We first did a Taste of Panama Tour with Barefoot Panama - so much fun trying coffee, chocolate, microbrews, ceviche at the Fish Market and finishing off with some Abuelo Rum at a roof top bar. Our tour guide Gonzo was great and really made it fun. Later in the week we did a train trip to Colon, got picked... More

My boyfriend and I booked the Panama Jungle Tour through Barefoot Adventures, and had a pretty good time. However, at the time of booking we didn't realize that BA doesn't actually run this tour - it's a Jungle Land Tour that they just third party facilitate. What BA does seem to handle is the driving to/from Lake Gatun, which was... More

My friend and I did the Caribbean Adventure with zip lining. We were picked up promptly at 7:30 by Ross. He was super friendly, very knowledgeable and was accommodating of any requests. After about an hour we got to Porto Belo where we boarded a boat. The ride was pretty smooth and only lasted 10 - 15 minutes. The first stop... More

Myself, wife and son (14) and daughter (12) visited Panama City the week of Feb 14th. We did three tours - Zip Line Adventure, Lake Bayano cave and boat tour and Lake Gatun fishing. All were great, although a couple had issues with sub-contractors which i will detail below. Zip Line - Nisla was our guide and she was FANTASTIC!... More

We have been traveling for three months - through Mexico, Costa Rica and for the last three weeks in Panama. This Barefoot tour - boating through a portion of Lake Gatun, stopping at Monkey Island (and a few others) and then visiting a Waunaan community -was our favorite! Our guide, Gonzo, was amazing. His English is flawless, but even more... More
