Davis was great! We visited so many fantastic locations: chocolate museum, cigar factory, colonial church, and had a traditional lunch. The boat ride was amazing. So beautiful and we got to see monkeys! We tried to visit the masaya market but most vendors were closed because it was a Sunday. Our last stop was the masaya volcano. Wow! What an incredible experience to visit at night. It was very busy and we waited a long time to get in. I think the crowds were a combination of it being the weekend and also the park had recently reopen. It was totally worth the wait! We had such a great time that we arranged a driver for the next day. Rafael and Christopher were as sweet as they come! We went to the masaya market, apoyo lake lookout, and Rafael found a potter in San Juan de Oriente who invited us into his home to show us his process! Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Please contact Show Me Nicaragua. You will not be disappointed!

We took a 3hr tour from our hostel in Managua to see the Masaya volcano and also went to the Apoyo lagoon. The access to the main crater was closed but we hiked to a bay Volcano called El comalito. It was amazing and the trail called Coyote’s trail was interesting. Our guides were very informative and dynamic. I recommend them.

This was our second time to Nicaragua and we wanted to explore the area and learn more about the culture and geography. We booked a full day tour and it was money well spent. It was affordable and it exceeded our expectations. Our personal tour guide was Harry. He was kind, personable and knowledgeable. He was always attentive to our needs and delivered services with a smile and with excellent customer service. If we had more time, we would have booked another tour. They made everything convenient for us by picking us up and dropping us back off at the hotel. I highly recommend this company and Harry. It is an affordable and safe way to explore some of the culture and areas of Nicaragua.

My husband and I had a great time on this excursion with Daniel and Julio from Show Me Nicaragua Tours. Our guides were informative, fun and passionate about Nicaragua! We stopped for photos and to take in the view at Lake Xolotlan, enjoyed quesillos for a mid morning snack, then headed to the ruins of Leon Viejo, which were very interesting. The modern city of Leon has the classic town center with cathedral, which we explored. Throughout the day, we were taking in the sights and sounds of Leon and surroundings. It was a wonderful experience!
