I was born and raised in El Salvador, and always enjoy going back home. Delicious food, amazing beaches, and great locations like this one in the Planes de Renderos neighborhood. The view here is just amazing, and you can breathe the most pure air in...More

Make sure you get up to the top of Devil's Door. It has stunning views of the city and the mountains. You can even see to the beach

Vistas are great. Legend is fun. Young men haul water to the top of the hike early in the morning, so you don't have to carry water if you want to focus on the climb.

The views here were wonderful. It was easy to get there. There are food stands to try the local fair. We went with an infant and did not do the hiking since the surfaces were wet and slippery. Just don't walk off on your own,...More

I recently did this hike on a beautiful sunny, clear day. Its not hiking really at all, just a bunch of stairs going up the hills, and while the view was nice, it was not as impressive as I had expected given the many reviews....More

Puerta del Diablo is a must visit site if you live in El Salvador or are spending any significant time there. It's VERY Salvadoran, especially on Sunday nights. There are a few good hikes in the little hills by the parking lot, a tiny one...More
