Built by Kiev monks back in 1051, this striking building is the most holy place in the Ukraine. The caves on the property serve as burial grounds for monks.

This is a very serene place with excellent views from the top of the bell tower, beautiful architecture and a quiet environment to worship. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site

The place is really nice. There are many buildings and museums in this object, which you can visit. I was in Mykola Siadrystyi Micro Miniatures Museum, on the top of Bell Tower, inside some small museums telling the story of the whole complex and in...More

A dear friend of mine passed away the day before leaving to visit Kiev, so I wanted to light a candle for her and say a few words... This place is stunningly beautiful inside and out!! I'm so glad I chose here!

Great views and much history. The caves provide a look at the past while tourists and those that worship visit. Don't forget to visit the miniatures museum while nearby.

I'm not religious so was somewhat of a sceptical visitor, but very glad I did. The caves are a little, very, cramped but full of atmosphere. Above ground some of the most beautiful religious architecture I have ever seen, and I have travelled. An amazing...More

Bautiful place. You can find monks and praying people inside so you have to dress according to it. Caves are also interesting but not suitable for claustrofobic person ! They are very small and overcrowded.
