Built by Kiev monks back in 1051, this striking building is the most holy place in the Ukraine. The caves on the property serve as burial grounds for monks.

A monastery complex started in 1037. Very elaborate, headquarters for the Ukraine Catholic Church. Recommend climbing the Great Bell Tower with a great view of the city and the Rodina Mat in the distance. You could spend all day here.

You can't miss this place in your trip to Kiev. Such wonderful place, it takes about 1h or 1h30 hours to see the whole monastery.
