Visit the caves. You won't regret it. Women can borrow an apron if necessary to cover up. I highly recommend a guide or tour.

A huge monastery, still an active place. Has many churches, collection, cave, shops. Entrance is only 25 Grivna, but higher if you join a guided tour, or museum/collections visits for

I've not visited underground caves before but it was quite bland narrow passages ...former wine sellers from the ancient past that Christians converted to cells for monks to live out their lives praying locked up! The upper Lavra with churches far more intresting and also free.

This cathedral dominates the local area and it it well worth the visit. Was confused as to where we should pay and some parts of the complex are free. The caves were interesting and eerie. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The place itself is simply stunning and is a must see.

Visiting this monastery remains the history and amazing architecture. Interesting to think about ways of construction while building this complex. Place is well maintained but some additional services be good to have. Enter fees reasonable. Not enough places for drinks, food and souvenirs shopping.

The churches were ok but not particularly impressed with the caves. It's spread out over a large area and not well signposted in English. I visited twice as I thought I'd missed the best bits but the first time - but I realised I hadn't!

My friends in Kyiv took me here. We went through the caves. If you just walk down the road, you will find them and can go through for no charge.
