Amazing church , over 1000 years old , one of the buildings that were not destroyed by the invadering armies. The paintings inside show among others Jaroslav the Wise' familie . The Bell Tower has a beautiful view over Kiev.

In my opinion this is one of the most beautiful Cathedrals in Kyiv along with Saint Michaels. Very much in old Eastern European style architecture it is well worth visiting and is one of the 'must see' attractions in the city.

We spent several hours wandering around the various buildings in the site. The cathedral was magnificent. Bell tower view a bit scary.

Interesting old Orthodox church. Though destroyed and renovated several times, you still can see some original pieces. It's a very silent and peaceful place indeed.

I really enjoyed this trip. I did a tour, that was good, informative and won't break the bank by Western European standards. There are info boards in the cathedral but I think a tour was worth the value. The inside of the cathedral is very...More
