The statue can be seen from a long distance. From the Volodimirska Girka park looking down to Dnieper River. When he lived, that was the time when pagan kings converted to Christianity. His neighbor, St. Stephen the Hungarian king also gave up his ancestors' faith...More

Such a lovely and powerful monument of the prince! Overall, I truly liked this monument, I can see if from a distance away. Around there are cathedrals as well, great choice for the first walking free tour!

This monument is located in one of my favourite Kiev places. The Volodimirska Girka park has the best Kiev view. Must see.

This is a nice park with many monuments, places to sit, and good views. On a hot day, the tall trees shaded me from the sun while letting in a cooling breeze from the river.

Great views of the Left Bank, across the Dniepr, and a good place to walk any season, but particularly when the leaves are falling. Close to St. Andrew's Descent and to Downtown. Probably could use some benches, but the promenade through the maples come October...More

It is very symbolic that the monument to Vladimir the Great is located in the park "Vladimirskaya Gorka". Until the establishment of a monument, there were here the vineyards of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery. It’s worth to visit this place, if you are a history-lover....More

I like the garden arround it, great view on the left side, very green, clean. No so many people as in another gardens in Kiev city. Interesting fact, that the face of Volodymyr the Great Monument could be seen with dron or helicopter only :)

Being from the middle of nowhere Wyoming and traveling to Kiev was, to say the least, and eye opening adventure. I walked through the park after taking the cog rail train up steep slope. It was a very nice and quiet walk with great views...More

An impressive monument but the best thing about a visit to it is the amazing view of the river below and churches around it. Be careful on the path down as it is being refurbished and will be slippery in wet weather.

This statue is OK to see if you're in the park where it's located. But I wouldn't make a special trip just for this.
