Nice park overlooking the Podil neighborhood and river below. Described to us by locals as a park for friendship between Ukraine and Russia. Interesting since one does not gladly recognize the other. be careful as the polished granite surface below the arch by the statues...More

what a strange monument, symbolising friendship between two nations when one of the nations struggles to accept the other as a nation. It ironically stands like a colourless rainbow that can be seen from Independence square.

Huge and impressive monument, but Kiev has way more to offer. To be visited only if you have time left.

A symbol of the friendship between Russia and Ukraine - this Soviet relic is still impressive with its steel "rainbow" construction arching over patriotic statues. Looked even better at dusk as the sun set in the distance and the "rainbow" was lightly illuminated. Great views...More

A relic of the past symbolising friendship between Ukraine and Russia, this is exactly what it says - an arch! But there's really good view over the river, there's a park adjacent, and it's only a short walk to the funicular railway that takes you...More

Ususal pompous Soviet style. Considering sour (to be diplomatic) Ukraine-Russian relations it's a wonder this symbol of friendship still stands.

The strange symbol of friendship between nations which are currently at the state of war de facto dates back to the Soviet Union. Though the Podil city and Dnieper river view is nice.
