I've been here with my girlfriend and we both loved the place. If you can cope with the absence of modern presentation techniques and some fancy 3D displays, you can have a good time here. The exhibition is large and covers different aspects of animal and plant life as well as dozens of prehistoric reconstructions. I am not sure though,... More

At the beginning, I was a bit bored with discovered fossils of Paleontology. Then I was amazed by the collections of animals and plants specimens. There were a certain amount of specimens were made in 18th or 19th century. Here you could also see how various and beautiful the natural would is. The specimens of some mammals, insects and birds... My family and I visited this museum. We are a family of science geeks so we always love visiting these types of museums. The museum contains many sections highlighting the archeological aspects of the local area. In addition the museum provides visitors with information on local flora and fauna. In addition to all the local natural history, there are sections... More

We visited with children who has already been in modern European nature museums. Nevertheless, the children enjoyed. Especially the insects collections, dinosaurs' skeletons, and minerals.

This wonderful museum was founded in 1966 and a lot of the showcases obviously survived unchanged, which makes this collection doubly worth the visit. It does not only house natural history but archaeology as well. I especially enjoyed the handcrafted models and the lovingly painted pictures of all kinds of species. If you are into natural history and archaeology, go... More

The museum has two section -- archaeological and paleontological. We only had one hour to spend there, so sadly we had to skip the archaeological one. There were several rooms with skeletons, fossils, charts and stuffed animals. Surprisingly the mammoth skeleton was not the biggest one exhibited! Recommended.

Just about skipped this stop but was talked into going by my wife and Im glad. Hoping to return because it was a huge place amd I didn't have time to see it all. Tonnes of interesting things to see here, even if some displays are outdated. I thought the USSR era displays were fun to see and unlike anything... More

Good selection and categories but no english information. Good for children. I find so informative. But should be more realistic exhibitions.
