Ukraine could improve it's historical places for English-speaking tourists by incorporating QRC codes by each monument which then directs the user to the respective Wikipedia site. That's how I learned about the rich history behind this monument...and it IS significant! That said, I should probably start studying Russian (or Ukranian).

Nice monument to the patron saints of the city. Princess Olga in the middle. The 2 guys on the right are the ones to create the alphabet for the Russian/Ukrainian language. Saint Andrew is on the left looking like he's ordering a taxi

This is a very nice monument to see, however, as someone not very versed in the history of Ukraine, I'm afraid I didn't fully appreciate it as someone who has a wealth of knowledge would.

This is the monument to Kyivan Rus’ princess and Orthodox saint Olha, the wife of Prince Ihor and mother of Sviatoslav I Ihorovych. Olha was the first Kyivan Rus’ ruler to become a Christian. It is located in the very picuresque place on Mykhailivska Square in Kyiv, with a nice view to the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery. Must see point!

Very nice statue of very strong woman. If you know the history and you know who is this, you will diffenetly enjoy the view on this monument. The location is great, if you are visiting Kiev you will pass by anyway.

Nice statue in a nice area. Not really sure what else to say about it...worth snapping a picture or two of and if you're visiting Kiev you'll likely already be in the neighborhood...

Special Ukrainian energy here, where local couples have been coming to confirm their relationship for many, many years.

This statue is OK. Nothing special. It is located right outside the main cathedral. So you wouldn't need to make a special trip to check it out.

I worked about 200 metres from this statue for many years and passed it every day on the way to work. Looks great in the dark, with the appropriate lighting to enhance it. But in the daylight it looks slightly cheap and tacky. You cannot fault the carving (it depicts 3 famous Ukrainian historical figures) but it is the appearance... More

The three people depicted here all played an important role in the history of what became Ukraine and also the development of Christianity. Actually it looks better at night when it is floodlit while the other buildings are muted.
