The palace harmonically matches the landscape of the Mariinski park. Unfortunately, reconstruction started in 2007 should be finished by the end of 2019 according to the information outside. Look around the palace and compare it with other buildings like Verkhovna Rada. Totally different styles and the palace wins in symmetry and elegance.

The palace is currently closed for renovation as of April 2016 as we discovered when we went there! It's situated in Mariinsky Park which is very beautiful and well worth a visit.

It is an official ceremonial residence of the President of Ukraine in Kyiv and adjoins the neo-classical building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. It is a Baroque palace on the hilly bank of the Dnieper River. You can have a pleasant walk in the nearby park.

Mariinsky Palace is one of the most beautiful palaces of Ukraine built in Baroque style in 1750-55th by architect B. Rastrelli. The palace served as a residence for russian tsars, for Generals of Kyiv Governorate, and nowadays - for the President of Ukraine serving for official receptions of the highest state level. Currently the palace is in a bad condition... More

Takes you back in time to stories of Doctor Zhivago and other Russian/Ukrainian dramas. A sight to see even if only from outside. And be sure to walk the adjoining park and overlook the Dneiper River at the Friendship Arch to see down to the old time Podol craftsman's quarter and river. Many fine restaurants in the area.

Mariyinski Palace was completely fenced off with construction equipment around it when I was in the neighborhood, July 2015. It can be glimpsed over the wood fence and will be an impressive building if what ever their doing ever gets done. Mariyinski Park is quite nice although the day I was there it was full of policemen, who were apparently... More

An architectural gem which goes well back into Soviet times, when Russian leaders came here to relax...

This building is located in a park. So it's not an inconvenience to check it out. I really liked the color and architecture of this buidling.

Set in Mariinsky Park, you can stroll past this place but it is closed to the public. I don't ever recall it being open to the public (and I have been living in, then visiting Kiev for 15 years!). As you can't tour the palace, I can't give it anything more than an average score, as the exterior is not... More
