I can promise you this: you will not see art this small made by any other artist/ philosopher. I have traveled to different countries and seen what artist can do with a grain of rice in china...etc. This Ukrainian philosopher and artist Mykola Syadristy goes waaaay smaller than that, the width of a human hair size or a grain of sand split in the middle. The cherry on the top was meeting the 83 years old philosopher himself, chatted with him and was happy to orthography one of his books for my little girl. …

I didn’t expect anything good from that museum… and I was wrong! It was amazing and very informative. I would totally recommend everyone to visit. I also have some additional recommendations for Kiev visit like: Mama manana restaurant and Stay in Kiev travel agency. These guys from agency are so interesting! I booked a tour to Strategic Missile Force Base, but they also have an opportunity to drive the tank or shoot the Kalashnikov or even Chernobyl visit. Probably I would try one more from them……

Here one can enter a small room with space age designs and look at the artworks through microscopes. There one might see a rose placed inside a human hair hollowed and polished like glass. Or perhaps a 3mm long model ship, or a caravan of golden camels passing through the eye of a needle? There you may see a chess set smaller than the head of the pin on which it sits and a flea shod with minute golden horseshoes. Photography is not permitted, but due to the miniscule scale of the exhibits, not much would be seen anyway.…

This place is just amazing, it’s a very small exhibition and can be easily completed within 15-20 minutes but it’s worth it. It only cost 60UAH which is about £1.86 per person to enter. No pictures or video filming allowed and they’re very strict on it. There’s micro-miniature objects all around the museum, ranging from chessboards to boats to drawings. It’s a little difficult to find but it’s inside the lavra ground, round the back of the bell tower. Definitely worth a look.…

This miniature museum is located at the famous Kiev-Pecherska Lavra complex. Maybe it sounds uninviting, but please DO pay a couple of bucks to enter it. This CANNOT be seen in many places in entire world and it'll consume only around 15 min of your time. There are 13 displays if I remember correctly, but all of them are simply astonishing and make you wonder how he did that. There's an explanation beside each display you're watching through a lens and it's simply amazing, a must see.…
