We finished our trip to Kiev with a nice stroll through the square on our last night. The tall tower dominates the sky, and the memorial at the bottom has such important significance. We loved the whole place lit up at night!

I have been to Ukraine for business and leisure many times, and a have a small tradition to visit Maidan Nezalezhnosti just to have a relaxed stroll there. The location is great and you have many good restaurants, coffee shops, stores, etc around, so everyone will something to do there. I recommend visiting this place!…

This place holds a lot of stories from very recent times, it's lovely here. clean and has a lot of amenities, but watch out for the guys with monkeys and pigeons, they will try and get you to stop so they can plop one of their animals on you for a photo, then they will hound you for money... best advice, say no firmly and keep walking.... they will spot a tourist a mile off! they also sometimes dress up in costumes for a photo with you... just keep walking!…

I have visited Kiev now 4 times, each time is like the first, there is so much to see and do in and around the city. The local bars and restaurants are all first class, and you really could not want to meet a more friendly people who are warm and helpful to all visitors, can't wait to be back!!…
