As the main street of the city, this is a great place to walk to introduce new visitors to the city. Huge, grand buildings line the street, with lots of shops and cafes. On weekends it is a great place for people watching.

Khreshchatyk Street is the location of several major hotels and it leads to Maidan Independence Square. There is shopping and dining below ground in in the Maidan area. Parts of Khreshchatyk are closed to vehicle traffic in summer.

Amazing a large street in Kiev, plenty of caffes, shopping centers and impressive buildings dating back to the Soviet times.

The site of the Maidan Revolution and the loss of about 100 people to sniper fire from the then government forces. Nice shops and restaurants. A nice place for a walk.

Lots of shops here - within many different architecture buildings. Easy to cross the 6 lane street as there are subways every couple of hundred metres. (Loved Tsum!)

The funniest part of my visit was crossing the boulevard. I was the only one crossing the street and waiting for cars to give me a chance to cross. It wasn't until half way through my trip that I discovered that the subway entrance was...More

Lined with visible shops and underground malls, only given away by the glass domes at street level. This street offers an array of merchandise, some designer, some more affordable. Worth a walk down
