A very little church, so little and beautifully decorated. They were selling water, so I'm guessing there's a well (I had no guide with me). I did manage to find a toilet just below the church. Not signed at all!

I'm not religious but anyone can enter, observe and participate - even take photos with a flash! - as some worshippers did. Be respectful with your dress code. A swift business for candles and Holy water if it answers your prayers.

I had been quite a few years ago and asked for directions when I was nearby at Kalemegdan. The church is hidden away to the left of the restaurant at the eastern end of Kalemegdan. The church wasn't open, but the shop next to it was where I bought candles and lit them in the room next to the shop.... More

Tucked in the quiet part of Kalemegdan Fortress, this church is one of the favorites with locals. Small, quaint, beautiful inside and out, with mosaics. Sv. Petka is a protector of women and I like to think that her guardianship extended on me as well. One can buy the holy water there (in the bottles) and there is a souvenir/candle... More

Small Church with the great history. Bastion of Christianity. Quiet location in Fortress with hectic history. One of the Belgrade favorites.
