Don't expect too much, it's a nice square, but it's fairly small and surrounded by a mix of newer and older buildings. There was a market with local produce aimed at tourists as well.
Nice square in the centre of Belgrade - fairly busy area. When we visited the National Museum was closed so we weren't able to visit.

The story about the Museum behind it is interesting :) Anyway, the Republic Square is one of the main places where people meet, known as "The Horse" :) It is good to see it, but nothing special really. Most tours' meeting point as well.
The main square of this city, you can get to the interesting places. Changes, shops, places to eat. But the atmosphere of destroyed buildings is not so good
