the banks of Danube, the great european river, is always a nice place to be. The best view can be taken from the belgrade fortress. And the colour of the river, especially in the evening light, is marvellous. On the river banks, there are many restaurants and bars, so enjoy belgrade, enjoy danube and enjoy your life!

Go to the river banks in Zemun and take a walk to the center of the city. Stop by some caffe and have a coffee or juice at the waves of the river.

The Danube river goes through many European countries including Serbia and the capital Belgrade, where is also Sava river joining the Danube. It is nice to walk by the river where you can find many restaurants, bars and even sport facilities.

The Danube is to Europe what the Mississippi is to the U.S.; the Amazon to South America, the Nile to Egypt. The most dramatic way to see it is from the deck of a boat. Jump on one anywhere along its 10 county/2,800 km route and sense its sinuous power and its impact on history. It may not always live... More

It might not be blue but it's still lovely. We were able to stand at the junction of two rivers and just admire this view and serenity.

We first saw the mouth of the Danube in Varna, Bulgaria. But coming south from Vienna and hitting the Capitol cities we followed it for a month. It is especially beautiful in Belgrade where the verdant greens reach all the way to the water. Super views from the fortress heights.

We were lucky to catch the unusually frozen Danube in Zemun, Belgrade. It was an unforgettable experience!

One of the two main rivers in Belgrade, together with the Sava, a major attraction during the summer!

Starts at Zemun where at Danube river there a lot of river and Italian restaurants, continues to promenade and, again, at New Belgrade bank, there are some restaurants, clubs and even casino, so all in all, various content and a nice place to spend the whole day at.
