Always I have second thoughts about going to the zoos... I feel the animals suffer... I this zoo most of the animals do not have space.... specially the tiger, lions, and lionesses.... the entrance for the zoo is 550 fibras or £4.50 €5 euros.... some of the areas were closed like the snakes ... the monkeys look depress ☹️ they have some ponies tight to a small piece of rope using them for kids rides.... they have fun activities for children like zip line ☹️ the Zoo is on the old Belgrade on a side of the fortress

I'm giving this review, not for a lack of wonderful animals, since they are wonderful, but because of the conditions of the zoo. The enclosures are small, overcrowded, and dirty. The animals all look sad. My girlfriend and I were there two different days and we never saw staff cleaning or stopping people from feeding the animals popcorn. Everyone is banging on the cages and yelling/whistling at the animals, despite signs saying not too. There was no staff enforcing the rules to just observe the animals and not harass them.

I haven't visited a zoo since I was a child. I visited Belgrade Zoo after my girlfriend's request. Ten steps after my entrance and my heart just stopped watching this place. With temperature way below 0 they were animals like African Elephant, Camel and African Tiger in the blistering cold without a shelter, small cages with American Eagles that couldn't even open fully their wings and so much more. I stayed there somewhere around 2 hours just to witness everything. People (like I was) tend to think that Zoos are pretty places, shelters for animals where in fact are life-time sentenced prisons. I saw animals with no hope in their eyes and others coming in front of their cage and scream for rescue. Zoos needs to become a sad thing of the past and fast. Non living creature should live like this.

A very interesting zoo containing the largest number of albino animals in a zoo. The albino animals included lions, kangaroos, and wolves. There was enough space for the animals to move around. I was there after a morning rain. There was hardly any people there and the animals were very active. I took lots of pictures and enjoyed it immensely.

Small Zoo, too small cages. Tahre are some white albino animals worth to see but that's it. As it is so close to other places of interest stop by for albinos.
