Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There are many monuments in Bucharest, but this one is odd and ugly... It is located in in Revolution Square and it is dedicated to the people who died in the Romanian Revolution of 1989. To me, it looks like a bleeding egg... Terrible!..

Saw this monument on a walking tour whilst at Revolution Square. You probably need a guide to explain it's significance as there's no signage or explanation otherwise. Don't go out of your way to see it!

Art with a dark history.
You can see some old buildings and remains from the revolution.
With a guide, you will get to know many dark facts and secrets from that time.
You don't need so much time to see the place.

This memorial was erected in 2005 in Revolution Square in honor of the victims of the Romanian Revolution of 1989, which overthrew Communism. There has been quite a bit of controversy about the memorial due to the public's general dislike of the design. It has been vandalized at least a couple of times since it was put in place.

This memorial should've paid tribute to those brave individuals who fought tyranny and paid the ultimate price.
Instead, it is an utterly ugly and unfitting memorial for this classic style area in Bucharest.

I thought this was very striking and evocative. If you approach it through the avenue of trees, it has more impact. Yes, it does look like a potato, but why not.

The "Memorial of Rebirth" is a spectacular monument commemorating the struggles and the victims of the 1979 Romanian Revolution, which overthrew Communism.

Nice to wander by however I wouldn’t purposely make a trip to visit it.
The area has lots of places to see so hopefully be along the way to other places of interest.

Quite a lot of graffiti on this monument in Revolution Square. This obviously detracts from the experience of seeing it. A quick look should be sufficient for most.
