This historical Orthodox church shares its name with another, eaqually named church of more recent vintage. Perhaps for that reason, this church is caller St. Dimitri - Posta, because it is located right behind the old Post office. It is located in the middle of...More

The current building was completed in 1819, at the site of a much earlier church built in the 15th century in honor of St. Dimitri. It is also called St. Dimitri-Posta, because of its immediacy to the old Post Office headquarters, which have since been...More

Situated as so many in the Old Town, this church is under renovation and full of scaffolding The grounds look like a building site and do not think that is due to the works inside!

Beautiful church with neoclassical architecture. The exterior was recently restaurated. A quiet place in the middle of the old town.

So much of the city seems under renovation including this little church but maybe that's a good sign? Just a shame we could not see its beauty in full due to all the scaffolding

Located in the historical centre, between cafes, pubs and restaurants, this church is an old one and it doesn't have something extraordinary to offer. As by the beginning of 2015 it is in renovations, but still can be visited.
