YOu can't see it from far away, there are buildings around it. This Russian ortodox Cathedral was recently renovated, it is a little different from the other ortodox churches in the city.

One of a few (IMHO) Russian Orthodox churches in Bucharest. It was hard to find being tucked into a corner between the Soviet-style apartment buildings. The church has district shiny yellow cupolas, but most of them were covered for renovation. Many people had gathered in the small church, given the approaching Orthodox Easter.

It's undergoing some refurbishment as of April 2016, but you can still see the beautiful domes and walk inside, which I would recommend doing. The art inside is a little different than other churches in the area with some art deco influence as well as Byzantine.

This unique church is hidden from the major attraction in Bucharest. Apparently, it is under refurbishment when I was around

They are renovating the exterior now, and they recently did the interior, with a beautiful result. And like all churches in B: free!

Beautiful Russian Church, with an interesting hallway at the beginning which then leads to the nave and the iconostasis. In a dark setting, the golden iconostasis glimmers and is a cool spot to look at an old church that was built by the instructions of the Russian ambassador 100 years ago.

I tried repeatedly to visit it but I always found it closed and moreover, the time spent in Bucharest the church was almost completely covered by scaffolding all the way up, it was hard to see the church on its beauty but I could catch a glimpse of the beautiful domes, a Church very different from the others, I saw...
