A copy of the Arch in Paris, this is very nice and it is in a wonderful setting although the roads around it are very busy.

Well, although not of the same magnitude as the one in Paris, it is still a landmark in Bucharest. It is in the middle of this roundabout from which you can drive in several directions. It is a good place for pictures, but watch out...More

This could be considered on of the entry points to Bucharest for visitors from the airport, the other being the Soviet-styled House of Free Press at the next roundabout out of the city. The Arch, as we see it now, was decorated in the 1930's....More

Like in many other cities, the arch is a dominating feature of the area. We saw it on the way from the airport and again from the hop on hop off bus. Looks good all lit up in the evenings.

A nice arch, not unmemorable. It looks more impressive at nighttime. A walk-through suggestion in the area: you can take the metro to station Aviatorilor, walk through Herastrau park (1-1.5 h probably until you'll have enough), continuing towards Muzeul Naţional al Satului "Dimitrie Gusti"‬, visit...More

An interesting building, you pass along it from your way to and from the airport. Placed in a busy round about, full of cars.

Not need to visit special if you have flight from airport. You can see it from car when you travel from/to airport from/to city center.

No need to add to your itinerary as it will be on your way to other attractions. It is in a busy intersection and can be easily reached by public transport. The structure is similar to the arches you find in all European countries.

You will repeatedly drive past this on any trip to Bucharest and you can only visit internally on 1st December so really not worth a special trip.

While strolling along we came across a remarkable copy of the original found in Paris. It is inappropriately placed in a large traffic circle which prevents any immediate contact with it. At least one cannot be disappointed from close up.
