It looks beautiful on the outside but AMAZING if you get to see it inside. I would recommend to go see it at least once.

The Romanian Athenaeum is the city's main concert hall. The building was designed by the French architect Albert Galleron and inaugurated in 1888. The circular wall of the concert hall is decorated with a fresco by Costin Petrescu. The piece depicts the most important moments of Romanian history.

An absolutely fabulous architectural masterpiece. It was built with the help of the slogan"donate 1 leu (Romanian currency) for the Atheneum". It not only rhymes but it stand for the people's genuine devotion to the art phenomenon. Apart from classical concerts it also organises several others. If I am not wrong, Demis Roussos has been here twice. MUST SEE.

For the best experience, go see a symphonic concert (on Thursdays and Fridays). Tickets sell out fast, but reservations are possible in advance on fge.org.ro, with ticket prices ranging from 10 to approximately 20 Eur. Enjoy! :)

We toured the building with a guide who told us about its interesting history and told us the stories that go with the giant painting depicting the Romanian history from the beginning to the 20th century.

The hotel is in a fantastic location. The executive lounge is great - on the roof with terrace. Good wine/food. Rooms are dated - some wear and tear. Service is good.
