Beautiful bit of culture here - church and courtyard lovely. Can take pictures inside. Oldest building in old town.

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing influences of all the occupying powers in this small but evocative church. Turkish arches, Roman pillars and Orthodox traditions make this a lovely gem with quiet courtyard

We walked the streets of Old Town and came upon this small church. It's quite beautiful outside but do go in. The painted walls are lovely, especially as the sunlight shines in. Bring your camera. My photos are beautiful. Exit to the left to catch a glimpse of the convent next door & gravestones.

Very pretty old church, it's ok to photograph in there but no flash. Beautiful colors and paintings on the walls

Very unique and beautiful little chapel in the middle of the city. Too bad it is, as the rest of the city, very neglected and not cared for.

This monastery is right in the middle of the old town of Bucharest. What really impressed me was the Icon of Holy Mary and Jesus Christ. So peaceful and calm.. A must visit.

First of all the church is in the Old Town so no need to book a tour. You can't miss it, really! it is a small place, no more 20 mints and you are done. Of course it is beautiful but plan it in when you are walking around the Old Town.

located in the middle of the night life, it's a very quiet place to rest and pray. I encourage everyone to come here and see the orthodox church with all their paintings

The church is situated in the heart of the old town and can be easily located on the map . It has a lovely courtyard . The church belongs to the Eastern Orthodox denomination and the name stavropoleos means city of the cross . It is built along the Brancovenesc style and interior contains typical Byzantine art work and iconostasis.... More
