Transylvania and Dracula's Castle Full Day Tour from Bucharest

No visit to Romania would be complete without ticking off Transylvania, where ancient castles are set against backdrops of dramatic rolling hills. See the best of the region without having to worry about car hire or navigation on a day trip from Bucharest, which offers a great introduction to local history for first-time visitors.

A small place decorated with pictures and other items related to chocolate, cocoa and the known history since Maya and Aztec civilizations. It’s an open space, with tours in place every hour (tour lasting around 30 minutes), introducing the history and the present of chocolate manufacturing. The lady giving us the tour was clearly very knowledgeable on chocolate and quite friendly. One could also buy all sorts of chocolate sweets (not sure if all are house made), payment by card/Apple pay is possible. Entry fee 25 RON per adult and 20 RON per kid, plus, if wanted, 20 RON / person for a chocolate workshop (for bespoke sweets, as desired). A candy shop for kids, who I presume would be the target visitors. The location is just near Orhideea Hotel (and across the street from Brico Depot) with several parking lots nearby. I would probably not return, once is enough.
