One of the most interesting museums in Bucharest,at least in my opinion.I saw the military museum in Brussels and I can say this one is similar. Very big,the museum consists in a few different buildings, housing an wide diversity of weapons, starting with the Stone Age ones until our days, military uniforms,a few aircrafts including replicas of the ones from romanian aviation... It is a museum that deserves a visit. You will find interesting exhibitions plus real tanks and other army machinery.

If you speak or read Romanian or are accompanied by someone who does this would definitely be an advantage as without a guide you are limited to looking at photos and exhibits and guessing much of what's written. That said the WW1 and 20th century exhibitions in the entrance building are interesting (though there appears to be no mention of... More

National Military Museum is a place who you don't want to missed if you enjoy tanks, planes, guns and military things. The museum has several buildings that look like exhibition halls. There is also a garden between the buildings where they are exposed more guns, tanks and other military vehicles. The museum has many exhibits and not get bored if... More

This museum was very easy to find on foot from the centre of Bucharest. Once through the central park it is about 15 minutes. The museum is in a very large historic building and immediately you know its a military museum due to the large number of artillery displayed out the front. I paid the entrance fee and for a... This is a good place to get a sense of Romania's history although sadly it appears the 1989 Revolution Exhibition is no longer on display. It starts with a pre Ancient and Ancient Military history exhibition but gets more interesting in the next building which shows the Romanian Military History Exhibition and the Medieval, Modern and Contemporary Weapons exhibition. In... More

The National Military Museum is a place not to be missed by those who enjoy the tanks, aircrafts, weapons and, not to forget history. The museum is composed by some buildings who looked like some halls to me and a big park between them where there are many cannons, tanks and other military vehicles exposed. The museum have a lot... The museum was very interesting. They have many many items on display and explain the history of Romania using these items, maps and scale models. The only downside was there was no information in English (nor German) and there was a lady in one of the rooms listening to music, eating(?) and talking whilst she was there to take care... More
