Another Beautiful Orthodox church
Apr. 2018
Built on ruins of 17th century church. Easter service was starting when we visited. Lots of icons and paintings. Lots of insense. Priest blessed us and we were welcomed. Nice visit. Would some back to study. Right off Victia St.

Lovely historic place of worship
Mar. 2018 • Couples
It is called Church of the Lady in honour of its founder Lady Maria, the wife of Șerban Cantacuzino who was a Prince of Wallachia.

Constructed around the 1680s and first built of wood, it replaced an older church. It underwent various changes and renovations, including in 1869 and 1906.

The grand entrance has numerous frescoes, some of which reflect the faded grandeur of the past.

Inside is most impressive. From the paintings to the plentiful icons and the glorious iconastasis, all lead to prayerful contemplation.

Another hidden church
Feb. 2018 • Solo
Another church hidden behind new blocks by the dumb Ceausescu's regime. If you don't know about it,it's hard to guess there's a church cramped between blocks.Nothing special at this church,it's not very big ant it doesn't have anything impressive.

Hidden church
Jun. 2017 • Friends
This 17th century church is hidden behind the walls near Calea Victoriei, Regina Elizabeta blvd and Doamnei Strada crossing. It's named after Lady Maria, Șerban Cantacuzino's wife ("Doamna"="Lady").
