Beautiful unique store
Jul. 2018 • Solo
Beautiful, unique objects, jewelry and clothes made by members of the Rroma community. The store has a social function, helping revive the historical crafts of the Rroma community. A must-see place in Bucharest.

no just another shop
Oct. 2017
if you want to discover an unique shop in Bucharest, this is the place. the shop not only sells some fine pieces of art, but it tells some stories about the people behind the creations. we spent there more than an hour, talking with one of the owners of the concept. he introduced us to a different kind of world, culture and he brought the best out of them. all the objects are hand made, usually by gypsies, in collaboration with fashionable designers. i would highly recommend the store; you will leave the place spiritually richer.

Amazing contemporary design mixed with artisian romanian craftsmanship
Jan. 2017 • Solo
This is an outlet for a project that promotes Romanian artisian craftsmanship through contemporary designs by internationally recognised designers. I visited the store in Bucharest just to have a look. It was originally intended to be a quick visit, but it turned into more than a one hour visit. There was an amazing person in the store. I believe his name is Denise. He turned my visit to the store into an educational experience. He talks about the project and the products with such amazing passion and knowledge. He cleverly gave meaning to the purpose of the company and its vision.I bought a couple of things, and I now know who designed them and I have a picture of who made them, I even have a picture of the other craftsmen and I know a little about their background. One of the best experiences I had in Bucharest. Definitely a very well kept secret in Bucharest.

Essential Bucharest Shopping - Personal Touch & Classic Design
Nov. 2016 • Couples
Awesome shop, definitely worth visiting. They have a number of handcrafted and designed Romani products, including clothes, jewelry, and things for the kitchen. The pieces are beautiful, with the design mixing traditional and contemporary styles, with the manufacture being done the same way as it has been for hundreds of years. The prices were amazing for the quality of the work.

Beyond the products, the space itself is classy and attractive. The customer service was excellent - very informative about the products, the designers, the manufacturing, and the larger social project. Don't just shop, ask!

Because we did not have a lot of luggage space, we only bought two things this time. An elegant and functional wooden mortar and pestle, and a bottle encased in a wicker design (which is now sitting on our shelf, filled with homemade brandy). We're very pleased with both of these items, and expect to get a lot of use out of them.

In sum: visit, for sure. Great shop, friendly people, amazing project.

Fantastic initiative; do not miss this
Oct. 2016 • Business
Mesteshukar Butiq is a rare find. The Butiq is part of an NGO. They design lovely art (silver, brace, wood, clothes) together with the artist and sell this only here in this shop (or online). Via this initiative they maintain the old fashioned way of creating art by Roma people. Fantastic initiative and lovely art!
When you are there, do ask for the full story of the shop!!

Please, take few minutes for a deeper look into this wonderful project. It was one of the most engaged and interesting project, I ever experienced in Romania. Rarely such
non-profit activities to find. MBQ-Team, I wish you power, good energy and a long breath along your way.
Best,
Carmen
