Return to the USSR - Excursion in Transnistria

The Republic of Moldova was Soviet for almost 50 years and it has left its mark, one is Transnistria. And why not a trip to the pro-Russian separatist region of Transnistria? A small return to the USSR for a day, to say "I was there" .., to discover a territory without territory ... .., a country without a country ...

The political situation is still complex today with Moldova, the tension is palpable but not dangerous for a foreign tourist. Visiting Transnistria is possible because it is not instinctively against tourism.

Our agency organizes this trip with a mixture of discovery, pleasure of the palate and meeting with the soil. You will be able to discover the authentic aspects of a region still under a model that was thought to be out of date.
The winery is an amazing experience. All those tunnels and bottles of wine was a great sight to witness. We had a really good guide so that also helped us to have a better idea of the winery and its history. On the other hand, I think they can work on their food a little. Still it is definitely a must visit winery.

We overall had a wonderful time visiting Milestii Mici. Things got off to a slow start as our tour guide wasn’t able to answer several of our questions but we truly enjoyed visiting the tunnels and seeing the collection. Once we got into the restaurant things really turned around for the better. The food was amazing, the musicians were great and the wine was fantastic. Between the musicians and our waiter all of our outstanding questions were answered. Highly recommend, worth the visit.

During a business trip we had the chance to visit the winery, we had a great tour and our guide was very nice and funny. We had a great dinner with wine tasting, the wines were fantastic, the restaurant is old fashioned, which gave very good vibes and mood for the whole evening. The service was perfect, the live music we really enjoyed.

It was a nice experience. You can visit just a small part of the wine cellars. You cant see the production process. Wine tasting was ok with some food and live tradițional music. I recomend a visit but yoy should not have great expectations.

Our tour of Mileștii Mici was an absolutely superb experience. It quite comfortably exceeded all of our expectations. Not really knowing what to expect, we learned there was a need for a driver so to navigate the vast tunnels. We organised this on the day, not to our detriment whatsoever, but it’s worth planning in advance if one is able. We got out of the car, explored the huge collections, took in everything our diligent tour guide has to say - all reasonably well communicated in English - before heading off to the real surprise: the hidden tasting room. We had selected Menu Moldova tour and dining experience expecting only bits and pieces to sample along with some wine, but Menu Moldova entitled us to much, much more. A four-course meal, an exquisite dining setting, personal table service and two whole bottles of Mileștii Mici wine - wow! It couldn’t have been better. We truly loved our time here and would recommend anyone who harbours just the smallest interest in wine to visit this extensive cellar. After all, Mileștii Mici was awarded the Guinness World Record as having the biggest wine collection in the entire world!
