When we went by, the square didn't have to much going on so it was just a quick look at it then we moved on. There were a few restaurants and bars and the statue of the squares namesake as well. The church in the square was covered over and being restored as were a lot of the churches in the city when we visited. It may be livelier in the summer but as we were there in early March 2023, not much was happening.

While walking through the city center of Zagreb, we also passed by Trg Petra Preradovića. This is a rather small square with the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord / Zagreb Orthodox Cathedral and a statue of the officer and author Petar Preradovic. Since the church is currently being restored due to earthquake damage, the square is not particularly worth seeing.

This public square is named for Petr Preradović, a Croatian poet, writer, and military general. He was one of the most important Croatian poets and perhaps best known for his role in the cultural and political campaign for pan-South-Slavic revival at a time when the region was part of the Austrian Empire. The public also has a monument to Preradovića. The square is pretty much in the middle of the touristy area of Zagreb with plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes around. The most prominent building is probably the Zagreb Orthodox Cathedral on the northern side of the square. Worth visiting.

Square of Petar Preradovic is also known as the Flower Square, it is about 300 meters from Ban Jalicic Square , it is the meeting place for friends to talk over a cup of coffee, cake or ice cream, also it has a few flower shops & the Zagreb Orthodox Cathedral is there.

Not our favorite part of Zagreb, but nonetheless, still really pretty and quaint. The little church adjacent to it add to the vibe around it.
